"Now that my house has burned down
I can see the moon more clearly."
I first read about Gregory Colbert’s art piece Ashes and Snow a couple of months ago in a yoga magazine, and now I’ve read about it again in Newsweek. I have to share and truly hope you are drawn to visit.
It’s an amazing, soul-stirring experience, a collection of photographs, films, writing, music – the photographs filmed in India, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Antarctica and other lands, of animals in native habitat, interacting harmoniously with humans. Amazingly none of the photos have been altered. The writing takes the form of a story written in 365 letters from a man to his wife. Deeply moving.
